Freemasonry came to Roseburg Oregon in 1855 with a few good men seeking to locally formalize their membership in other Lodges from around the country. Laurel Lodge’s official charter was delivered in June of 1857 sealed in a lead tube carried by horseback from a Lodge in Missouri.
Basically a self-improvement course, our fraternity has been making good men better in Roseburg for over four generations. It is the oldest continuously operating fraternity in Douglas County Oregon.
We believe in religious freedom, good education, tolerance, and human equality. We strive not to be perfect, but better than we were yesterday.
We have meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
“A Mason can never ask a man to join. A man can always ask a Mason to join.”
